The company was established by George Leonard the late father of the current Managing Director during 1968.

It has evolved from a jobbing joinery and manufacturing business to the present where housebuilding, refurbishments, alterations and specialist joinery including hardwood windows doors and conservatories form the main component parts.

A comparable range of top quality PVCu products is also manufactured at the Poplar Road premises and marketed under the Windowblend name.

In addition to being well known in the Dumbarton area for carrying out small jobs for the home, the company regularly undertakes large contracts with local authorities, local businesses and health boards embracing all trades and specialist sub contractors.

Leonard Builders Ltd also has a great deal of expertise in specialist adaptations for the disabled such as custom built extensions, shower rooms, ramps etc.

As a company we can offer a personal professional service and a quality of workmanship second to none. We employ our own joiners, bricklayers, painters, plasterers and plumbers ensuring continuity of work to a speedy conclusion with ongoing site supervision by at least one of the directors. The current workforce including administration is 35.
