Homes in Heaven started in London in 1997, after Miguel Pires de Lima finished his studies in Business Management in England and decided to create an enterprise for the distribution of decoration products. The production and development of those products were ensured through a net of Portuguese graduated manufactures and distributors.

This was the project embryonic phase. Its aim was to test above all the good reception at the English market, presenting a quality modern product, following most modern Portuguese production methods, keeping however, the traditional timeless look of our pieces. In its initial fase, Homes in Heaven opens a shop in London and its first Portuguese shop in Coimbra.

In 1999, after initial recognition in London, Homes in Heaven transfers its shop to New King’s Road, a famous location in Chelsea area, where one can find the most renamed brand names in the decoration sector.

By the end of 2000, HiH was distinguished with the Certificate of Quality and Service, conferred by “Guild of Master Craftsman”. This has raised the attention of several European distributors who made us a challenge: the establishment of the brand beyond England and Portugal.

Answering to this challenge, in February of 2001, the first franchising shop of the brand opened in Dublin. The success was immediate and it created a new round of negotiations with other European partners interested in opening a shop in a franchising or free distributing regime.

Under HiH Management, anchor shops in Portugal opened in Lisbon in 2004 and Porto in 2006. Success in Portugal is widely recognized among famous designers, Television and related publications, HiH became quite a trendy brand in the market.
