All work is thrown porcelain and fired to 1280° using a gas kiln. The reduced* atmosphere inside the kiln enables me to achieve the dramatic colour changes that take place in glazes containing copper and iron oxides as well as more subtle alterations in the glaze quality and in the body itself. The firing is an exciting process which usually takes between nine and eleven hours to reach temperature.
