Border Oak Design & Construction was incorporated in 1980 and is based in rural Herefordshire, the heartland of oak frame buildings.

The Company pioneered the revival of green oak framing in the late 1970's, after the craft had spent over 200 years in decline, and are now recognised as industry leaders.

Working over three decades on a diverse range of contracts has enabled Border Oak to obtain unrivalled experience and knowledge of all spectrums of oak framing and design. Their construction teams are fully supported by a dedicated 'in house' design team who have the ability to illustrate conceptual projects as well as execute working briefs.

Each building is bespoke and will illustrate a commitment to craftsmanship and detail and will reflect policies of using traditional materials and skills.

Border Oak is a family run business which endeavours to meet each project, no matter how large or small, with the same enthusiasm, commitment and professionalism. Underlying their reputation is a sincere passion for their product.

They are keen to continue to innovate and develop their range to demonstrate the strengths of vernacular architecture and its contribution to the wider environment.

Border Oak design and build approx 70 - 75 houses a year and employ around 150 -200 people. They have undertaken projects all over the world including Japan, America and Europe.
